Cake overload

Walked up to Julia's on another glorious morning, and spotted this incredible Clematis. The intricatesy astounds me.
We sat in the garden and chatted not stop for 2hrs and still didn't fit it all in. We've made a date for after half term. 
The game finished as I got back with a good Essex Win. Thankfully it makes it easier for the Baking Belles to park!!
I felt a bit hyper before they came, dusting, hoovering, cleaning the loo!!
There were 7 of us including me, but unfortunately we had to sit inside as one of the ladies suffers in the sunshine. 
The theme was nostalgia and there was bread pudding, earl grey teacake, battenburg and lemon meringue. I made Angel whispers which were my great grandmas recipe. We were pretty full after 3hrs!! A lovely light tea of honey, soy and orange salmon.
I took FK to Cadets, then sat in the garden to catch some late sun and listen to the birds.  I have a resident robin. Very calming.
