An ordinary life....

Never misses!

We had a leisurely morning.  Tea and toast and relaxed chat.

Gave Andrew and Nikki their wedding gift.  Told them we hope they use the money to treat themselves to something special and not spend it on the wedding.

Nikki hadn't seen D's mum's wedding photo album (Andrew's gran) so let her see it.  That led to a discussion about how times have changed and how people looked so much older then.  They were also struck by how all the photos in the album were formally posed.  I think their photographer will take some posed photos but the majority will be spontaneous.

We discussed a few venues for lunch but settled on Glendoick Garden Centre because of the shop (and the lovely cafe :-). Really heavy rain on the way there, a change from yesterday's sunshine, but thankfully it had gone off by the time we arrived as it was very busy and we had to park in the overflow carpark.

Lovely lunch but we were too full for coffee and cake so decided to have a wander in the shop and return for coffee afterwards.

I was very restrained in the shop and only bought Scottish strawberries, plant food, treats for Lola and some glitter pens for Esme.  Andrew's been looking for a gift for his best man and was delighted to find something that fits the bill perfectly.  Result!  :D

Back to the cafe for coffee and a little bit of mint slice for me and D, chocolate fudge cake for Nikki and a pot of tea for Andrew.  He was very restrained :D

The journey back to ours was awful as the heavens opened and the A9 was treacherous. Loads of water on the road with the rain coming down faster than the windscreen wipers could clear it.  We came off a junction early and finished the journey on the old main road.

Andrew and Nikki collected their bags and headed off to Ele and Kenny's to pick Esme up.  I think the slime party went well :D

Gave Lola a couple of the treats we bought.  She loves them!  Quelle Surprise! ;-)  Threw them in the air.  She never misses!  Must try this again with the big camera.

Lazy evening for us.  Still full from lunch so just some biscuits with cheese for dinner. Now struggling to keep our eyes open.  Having fun is exhausting :-))
