From Brazil

It was a grey drizzly day in Lennox Head, with just a few patches of blue sky. During a sunny break I moved one of our indoor plants, Calathea makoyana or Peacock Plant, onto the balcony to photograph. The leaves are coloured purple below and green above. From below, they have a translucent quality, suggestive of stained-glass.
