The Cuillin from Elgol

We woke to a Misty view , typical of Skye but still beautiful.
Another really good breakfast. I had porridge as well today.
We were given some cake from Alison so that was very nice of her.
We headed for Elgol to start with. Not much traffic on the roads but busy at Elgol. Campervans we’re taking up a lot of places especially as they park sideways. We parked in the shop carpark and bought a hot chocolate before heading down the steep hill to the other carpark. We were lucky to get a space. Still abit murky but not that cold so we found a bench , drank our hot chocolate and watched the world go by. We watched three nice classic cars come down, two weddings , one returning from Loch Coruisk and one heading out. We were tempted by a boat trip but decided against it as we have done it before.
The sun soon came out and we were treated to this fantastic view. We shared a hot toasted cheese and ham sandwich before going for a wander and then driving back to Broadford. We stopped a few times on the way back including the beach at Torrin where we saw a golden eagle :)
We filled up with petrol and grabbed a pizza from Cafe Sia eating it down at the little harbour. Glorious sunshine for a trip round the Ord loop. The road to Armadale was very poor , full of pot holes ! We spotted a seal just off of Armadale pier.
A deer was on the road as we went down to Tarskavaig. It managed to jump the deer fence and make it’s escape.
Busy at Ord with two camper vans and a tent so we only stayed for 5 minutes. The usual friendly herd of cows were on the road on the way back so we had to wait for them to slowly wander past.
We finished the day watching the sun set at Ashaig beach, just down the road from our B&B
