Beautiful colours

We had a fairly good nights sleep and were woken by the birds and a cuckoo in the early hours. A very good breakfast of fresh fruit , orange juice, tea ,toast and eggs, bacon, sausage, haggis and tomato which kept us going all day.
Not sure what’s happened here but the rest of my blip write up has disappeared. I’ll try again later.
We said our goodbyes and headed for Inverewe Gardens, could not miss it as we were so close.
We were abit early so waited in a lay-by near the shore and watched the world go by.
It was soon 10 o clock so we were soon exploring the beautiful gardens. Full of flowers blooming well although some of the Rhoddies and Azaleas had finished.
We sat by the water until the midges got the better of us and we moved on. Luckily the sun came out and they all disappeared.
We enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate sitting in the gardens by the house. We had a look round the house previously owned by Osgood Mackenzie the designer of the garden.
The gardens are stunning especially at this time of year. The photo shows one of my favourite parts.
We watched two herons having a fight near the Heronry , such impressive birds.
We stayed for about three hours and then we’re on our way through the Torridon mountains, also stunning. We stopped by the loch for a cup of tea and a banana muffin from the B&B.
We were soon on Skye enjoying Fish and Chips in Broadford.
We had a warm welcome from Alison at our next B&B. We had tea and cake in the lounge where we had a chat with two other residents who were touring Scotland from West Virginia. They have enjoyed their visit so far and we’re impressed at how Beautiful Scotland is
