Big lollies in Chelsea

This is one of the many floral displays high can be seen around the streets in Chelsea this week while the Chelsea Flower Show is on. The theme this year is Floral Feasts but some of the displays seem to be children’s story characters …eg the Hungry Caterpillar,  Lady and the Tramp and Winnie the Pooh ( see extra) Some of the displays are cakes or other edibles….eg the Afternoon Tea display outside the Hackett shop in Sloane Street ( see extra) .
We went to the Peter Jones cafe first which I always like because of the view from there.
Luckily we only had a light shower while walking around and down the King’s Road. I think the tents inside the actual flower Show would be very crowded today for people getting out of the rain! I was amazed to see people getting)g out of the tube at Sloane Square without any form of raincoat!

Back home it’s still raining.

Have just heard about the general election on 4th July. I think it unlikely that Rishi Sunak will be PM on 5th July!
