Classic Stourhead

Stourhead was looking at its best on a glorious early summer’s morning, with the rhododendrons and azaleas in full bloom, and the weather had certainly brought the visitors out.

I was spoilt for choice for classic Stourhead views so, as well as the main blip of The Temple of Apollo framed through the trees, in extras there’s the reciprocal view taken from the steps of The Temple of Apollo, the default shot of The Pantheon across the lake and a close up of a rhododendron.

We did two circuits of the lake before a spot of lunch in the restaurant.
