Church of the Holy Rude

Another restorative day and since the dog walker comes on Tuesdays I left Islay for a few hours and drove to Stirling. The Smith Art Gallery was closed so I wandered around the old town visiting the castle and the Church of the Holy Rude, where James V1 was crowned. I was impressed that the guide to the church had been translated into an astonishing range of languages including several minority ones, eg Cornish.

Badger watching this evening, not in the usual spot and I was unsuccessful. The weather was very pleasant and it wasn't difficult to stay still for a couple of hours watching several deer, a hare and a fox that outstared me.
