Picnic spot

Another good day, after taking Islay for her first walk of the day I left her to scout out badger city. So many active entrances meant that this evening it was really tricky to find a suitable observation location.

The stream is not far away, and it was a perfect lunchtime spot for a picnic.

I returned an hour or so before sunset and was rewarded with two adults play fighting, perhaps last year's youngsters, extra. Islay came with me and stayed in the car, my return assured by chalk markings, I had taken a wrong turning in the dense woodland on my earlier visit. There still some light left for Islay to enjoy a night safari which she found exhilarating, now she’s soundly asleep.
