The Cuddle Blanket...

When I came downstairs this morning I was pleased to see the Cuddle Blanket looking lovely and flat.  Steam blocking is definitely a good idea, especially when the blanket is 100% wool. In the main pic the blanket is folded in half.  More pics in extras.  

David was playing golf with Kenny, Keith and Adrian so set off to meet them for lunch at the golf club at midday.  Ele came here for lunch.  Chicken and vegetable soup and egg mayo sandwiches.  I was very organised and had a pot of Ragu bubbling away in the simmering oven before Ele arrived, so dinner was sorted too.

It's been such a lovely day and after lunch Ele and I headed out to sit in the Gin Palace (I suppose that counts as its official opening 2024 :-) but when we got out there the sun was so warm we sat on the decking outside the Gin Palace instead.  

We were convinced the temperature would drop at some point in the afternoon but nope, it stayed lovely and warm, and as we sat and chatted we enjoyed tea and scones, then later in the afternoon moved on to soft drinks and nibbles.

We were still sitting out when D and Kenny returned from the golf.  Both enjoyed the weather but neither of them were very happy with how they had played.  Oh well.  

We finally moved back indoors just after 5pm.  The sun was still shining but a chilly breeze had set in.  

Ele and Kenny stayed for dinner.  They are also going to Laura and George's wedding on Saturday.  We are all looking forward to it.  The ceremony is outdoors so we're all keeping our fingers crossed that it won't rain.
