Layers of yellow...

Alan was up very early (for him) and very happy he was about it as he was heading off to Somerset for ten days with Penny and Vickie.  You can see how distraught he was at the thought of leaving us in the pic in extras :-)

We waved them off just before 10am then when R brought Lola back from her walk we headed to Gloagburn for breakfast and a jar of their amazing chilli jam.

Drove home the back roads (much more pleasant than just bombing back down the A9) and stopped on the roman road to get this shot of Craig Rossie with the yellow rape flowers in the foreground and the yellow gorse on the hills.

Back home to get some chores done and paint a birthday card for a friend.  Must remember to post it!

Smoky chipotle chicken with black beans, feta and lime from the Roasting Tin cookbook for dinner.  Delicious.  Followed by an episode of Grace. We are late to the party with this programme and have started watching from series 3.  Really enjoying it.

The house is very quiet without Alan.  They arrived safely in Somerset and the weather is fabulous, as is the holiday house.  I am jealous :-))

Forty four years since the crash.  That's unbelievable.
