When I woke I had no plans for the day. Three hours later and knowing that if I made another pot of tea I’d end up going nowhere and doing nothing, I made some sandwiches, packed them with a bottle of juice and a camera, and got on a bus to Keswick.

I expected to wander around the shops or along to Crow Park and the lake but instead headed off to Portinscale and towards Lingholm. Decided not to continue to Lingholm and perhaps go another day when it would be less busy and I’d allowed more time.

On the walk back this Greylag Goose had decided that the grass was tastier on the footpath side of the fence.

Was surprised that my phone said I’d walked over 5 miles (including home to bus stop).
