I was awake in the night listening to heavy rain which was forecast to be lighter in the morning before getting heavy again.

I phoned the dentist . . . no appointments until 15th May! I’m on the cancellation list.

I went for a bit of retail therapy at the garden centre. Looked at plants but didn’t buy, then went inside to the Cotswold store and bought a pair of Merrell shoes to replace my well worn ones which I’m now wearing for gardening.

I needed an afternoon on the sofa. Hadn’t been sat for long when there was a call from the dental practice. . . a cancellation at 2 o’clock this Thursday if I would like it. Yes please.
