In Limbo

Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny & The Mini Princesses,

Job update - so it looks like I’m actually in a pool of 3 down to 2 so they might not be getting rid of me after all. It would have been more helpful if this had been made clear at the time.

I ended up feeling worse about it today than I had when I thought it was definite. It felt easier when I thought my hand was being forced and I’d have to really think about what I want to do. If I am one of the chosen ones to be kept on, I’ll still be in a job I don’t particularly care about and working for a company that doesn’t hold its employees in high regard. With less people, I can’t anything improving but then I’m also in my fifties and opportunity knocks less often. Also, I have no idea what my skill set is and where (other than IT) those skills could be applied. I know I’ve never actually tried lion taming but I’m pretty sure that analysing data isn’t one of the criteria. And there’s my cat allergy!

So I had an evening of feeling a bit agitated and lost at sea. I will let it all settle in my head before I give it more thought. Might not apply for the job I saw advertised for a ‘Wedding Dog Chaperone’ just yet!
