A Merganser on Monday

Yes, I know it's Wednesday, but don't you think the title sounds better than A Merganser on Wednesday? 

The merganser is a strange bird. It spends its waking hours dipping their head into the water looking for small fish, then it dives in after the fish. They are good fishermen.

Quite often they hang out in big numbers. I've seen them in the 100's, but today there were only 4. 

Our swim class is winding down with a lot of people heading home. 10 of us today, including Patrick and me.

With my gimpy knee, we stayed in most of the day, with me painting and Lisa doing some puzzling with our neighbor Sandy.
