Fish for Breakfast

"My" osprey couple were both out this morning. Their nest is not the best for photographing, but when they are eating a fish or just getting away from each other, they perch on 2 different poles that are pretty low.

I can't tell which is the male or female, but let's say he was posing on the pole, and then took off over the bay. "C'mon, GO CATCH A FISH!" He did, bringing it back to a nearby pole.

I snapped MANY pictures before he took off, leaving the pole for a tree. I kept thinking he would eat his half and bring his mate her breakfast, but that wasn't the case.

As I left, she was on the original pole, so I got some pictures of her preening. Such fun.

Late in the afternoon we visited s-i-l Joy in the hospital, getting home just as the sun was about to set.
