It was looking like another wet day but the forecasts indicated there was less chance of rain early in the afternoon. We actually enjoyed a few dry hours.

Foolishly perhaps I drove to Elterwater where all parking spaces (except the few 20 minute ones) were occupied. I settled for 20 minutes. It was long enough to get some shots of the Britannia and walk up the road in search of sheep on the common.

I had time for an hour’s work outside when I got home then a walk down to the shops.
