It’ll Stop Soon ….
…. Won’t it.
The rain that is, the jokes and comments on social media about the rain lighten the mood along the lines of; “it feels as though it has been raining for six months” with a reply showing a ‘funny’ saying “it has”, the local forecaster on an update had an emoji of someone wearing a snorkel.
It’s not that,as British, we are fixated on the weather it’s just that as sports spectators there are concerns for the pitches, not only Falmouth’s but pretty much everywhere, they are deteriorating, the pothole puddles getting deeper and those niggling little leaks are getting worse.
I’m hoping for a long, hot late summer to compensate.
Thursday Gang at the club, a better day, there is a plan to improve the look of the club but I’m still puzzled that not a single business has turned up to quote for some of work required.
With no ‘Originals’ coffee at Princess Pavilion today for a variety of reasons, car trouble, doctors appointment and weather I was able to stay longer at the rugby club.
With the seasons end fast approaching it will soon be time to tackle some of the larger tasks on the list.
