A damp start and the weather didn’t brighten as soon as I hoped. I did the ironing instead of the intended gardening. 

After lunch I fell asleep for 45 mins and the weather had improved when I woke (windy but dry). I walked to Waterhead popping into the Alpkit shop on the way to ask about their down recycling scheme . . . I’ve 3 ancient sleeping bags. 

Just after 2 pm and the lake sailings had finished for the day because of Storm Kathleen. I picked up a copy of the new timetable. I continued to the lake frontage at the youth hostel and was surprised to spot someone in the water by the jetty. Three photos from a later sequence in extras before he dived off the jetty.
