On Tuesday the weather forecast was for two days of rain. It was right yesterday but wrong for today.

I joined the tourists and walked from White Moss to Grasmere. The boathouse is much closer to completion and there are two photos of it in extras. Also the first lambs I’ve seen this year. Not sure if the main photo is as sharp as I’d like it to be.

All car parks were full. The extra large wheelie bin in White Moss car park was overflowing. There was a coffee van by the river nearby. The public toilets in the centre of Ambleside have a sign on the door . . . permanently closed . . . something to do with cost. The Parish Council run them and their part of this years council tax has gone up by 19.4%.
