Spring Flowers
This morning we met up with our daughter and granddaughters at Castleford J32 outlet where coffee and cakes were consumed. Afterwards we decided to head to Nostell Priory for a walk…calling at Greggs to pick up sausage rolls and doughnuts for our lunch.
It was quite cool when we arrived and there were a few spots of rain…but the sun soon came out and it began to warm up. We found a nice bench overlooking the ornamental lake, so we sat for a few minutes to eat our snacks.
There were masses of spring flowers out…primroses, cowslips, a few bluebells and the last of the daffodils. Some magnificent magnolias and these pretty ’bleeding hearts’ were also blooming…as well as some fern fronds unfurling…see extra.
An unplanned walk, so I only had the phone camera with me today!!
