Guess Where We Went Today!

We took the granddaughters to the seaside at Bridlington.

It was gloriously sunny, but the wind was pretty ‘bracing’. However it didn’t stop us from having a fab time…we spent a good couple of hours on the beach when we got there … paddling, building sandcastles, collecting shells! Not much chance to get my camera out…so a quick phone snap of one of our sandcastles!

Found a slightly sheltered spot on the prom to eat our picnic lunch. Then walked into town and spent some time in the amusement arcade..lots of 2p coins rolled down chutes!! Brilliant, simple fun.

Refreshments partaken in the town..then wandered back to the car…just over 4 miles walked today! On the way home the girls did drift off to sleep in the car. We stopped in Stamford Bridge for Mrs madwill to get a coffee (before she too nodded off) and for the girls to run about for twenty minutes in the old railway station playground!

Fish fingers and chips for tea all round when we got back. They have been in the bath and ready for bed!!
