Kite Festival

The kite festival is one of the events in DC's 3-week long cherry blossoms festival.  It draws a lot of people and the sky is full of kites of different types and  at different heights.  There are also demos by kite specialists who fly kites in competition against each other or choreograph moves according to various pieces of music. 
I enjoy going to watch (and photograph) the faces of kids attempting to fly their kites: the wonderment when they succeed is very cute :)
