Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

mud, mud, glorious mud...

I went round to Ali's at lunchtime to sit with the children while she took the dog to the vets. The girls were great. Josie had her usual nap of over 2 hours then lay awake very contentedly playing with her toys and reading her books for ages before shouting for attention. Baby monitors are so much improved since our day with zoomable cameras and infrared for night time as well as sound. (Extra).
Bonnie slept well too and when she woke she was happy to be with me.
After they got back from the vets, Ali and Stuart set to in the garden making the most of the unexpectedly better weather. They had dug out this area ready to turf it after their building work last year but decided to slab it instead. It was mostly dug out ready last week, then the rain hit!
I think they did a pretty good job in the couple of hours they had today, half is done. They are going to put flower beds into the area in front of the slabs by the two side walls/fences. It was going to be too difficult to keep children and dog off the under-repair ground over the sprint and summer. This is an easier solution and hopefully lower maintenance.
