My side of the family
We had to get up early again as we had to pick up Richard from Gatwick airport at 9. It had to be this weekend that the section of the M25 we needed to travel down was closed completely for the first time in it’s history. We had heard of long tail backs and queues so we’re dreading the journey. We were lucky and although it took a little bit longer following the diversions it was a nice journey past some lovely looking houses and spring flowers in bloom.
We picked up Richard from the short stay carpark at just gone 9. We had a MacDonalds before picking him up and waited in the Tesco carpark until he said he was off the plane. Watched a Grey Squirrel exploring the bins.
The traffic was fine ,although busy for a Sunday. We made it to my Mums just after 10. We had to go through Sittingbourne as we could not get to our usual turn off because of major roadworks.
Paul came up and then we went to The Sun in Bredgar and met my cousin Kevin, Sharon and Millie. Most of us a roast which was huge and tasty. A whole party of 20 arrived so the volume of noise rose so much we could not hear ourselves think.
Back to my Mums and a fairly early night :)
