It’s been a lovely day….after it rained very heavily overnight. I don’t think it has been enough to call the drought off - but it is a start.

This morning, Frida, Poppy and I walked out at the Butterfield Wetlands where the main photo and first extra photo were taken. A favourite walking place.

Friends from Dunedin called in for coffee and scones after returning from Tasmania last night and staying in Arrowtown over night…..it was good to hear about their trip while it was fresh in their minds…and when we are going there in less than 2 weeks.

The  afternoon was spent stewing black peaches and apples and making another batch of roast tomatoes. Lovely aromas from the kitchen!

Neighbours  came in for a catch up before dinner..and now we are relaxing by a fire! The second one this year. Poppy is a tired wee girl (extra)
