TERRITORY
I went over to RSPB Saltholme this morning and enjoyed the sun and blue skies. There was an area where the wrens were so intent on defending territory and chasing each other away that they didn't take any notice of me standing close and taking pictures. This one didn't even notice the tasty morsel on the twig behind him, if you can see it.
Other things I enjoyed seeing were an avocet - they returned a couple of weeks ago apparently, a reed bunting, a wigeon resting with its feathers ruffled up, and a honey bee in among the pussy willow flowers.
