Mothering Sunday - a day to remember blessings

I am indeed blessed.

So pleased that they both remembered with lovely phone calls to start Mothering Sunday. I miss them more on days like today and I told them both that 'I love you more than you know'. I especially love and miss mum too; 2nd year without her.

Constant drizzle with some heavy spells of rain which did not put us off going to Lullingstone Country Park with the intention of walking. The rain just got worse,  so we decided to return home. We will be back in the summer months. Instead we cosied up and read indoors.

We spotted this Green Woodpecker on the lawn, searching for ants. He feasted for over 10 mins, but with zoom on my phone and the rain on the window, this blip was the best shot that I could get.

Later we watched the Wales v France 6 Nations match. France had more power, but the Welsh were inspirational, spotting gaps in their defence and creating tries and yo-yo-ing the score until 10 mins into the second half when they led. Then the French made some substitutions. The replacement French players closed the gaps. There was no way through for the Welsh. By the end the French won.  Next weekend should be good.
