Damned Memory ...
Today has been a bad day - forgetting all sorts.
Mind you, last night wasn't much cop either - I completely forgot to put up the pictures of the objects I finished ... so they are Here (I actually like the 3rd shot). The 1st shot and the one here are made from Larch from a neighbours garden a couple of years ago.
SWMBO was down at the school today for some 'family open day' to see what the kids in their last year of primary school have been up to.
Squirrel's presentation was about what she would like to do as a career (teaching sports/gymnastics apparently).
While I was in the garage the blokes came to take down the tree in next doors garden.
What a great job they did. From start to finish in under an hour and apart from a slight indentation and a very small amount of very small chippings there was no evidence it had ever been there.
The guy whose business it is arrived when the tree was down and all the branches were in the massive trailer. He was there to collect the trunk which was cut into short chunks and then split into firewood (apart from the 2 chunks I was given). It turns out I met him at the last craft fair I did ... we were having a chat when his wife walked up, picked up a piece of turning, said "Pay the man .... I having this" and walked off.
When they had all gone I was told that his quote was less than half that of others she had had.
I have made a couple of lidded boxes/pots/shelf dust gatherers which will be photographed tomorrow (if I remember) when the final finish is on them.
