Out with the cold…

Work on replacing the boiler started today along with some new radiators. While we have electric heat in one or two rooms which keeps us cosy enough, the house as a whole has a distinct chill to it.

Even more so as the boiler housing is down and the flue exit is open to the elements. A delay in the replacement boiler - it should now arrive tomorrow- means we have at least one more night of freshness. But at least progress with the new radiators now fitted.

Fortunately it was a lovely still sunny day and while the air was cool there was some warmth in the sunshine to heat up the south facing rooms.
