Diary of an Edinburgher

Archie’s halo…

This was the sight when I came into the lounge today - a little angel with a halo sitting on the chair...

But Archie's wee mystery lump is still there, and he can't keep wearing the cone, so I took the advice of Trixie's mum, who suggested we use a child's tee shirt instead - much more comfortable for him. The cone must drive him mad, as he can't scratch his chin or his ears. It was all right for a few days, but then it became obvious there wasn't a quick fix.

And so we went round to the charity shop, and he chose a garment, a child’s tee shirt (£2). Unfortunately it's a Celtic football shirt, but it was the only suitable garment at the time. He's been wearing it all day, been out walks with it, and doesn't seem to mind it. We had a walk down to the canal this afternoon.

I also bathed my sore (not sore now) toe in salty water, as per instructions. It's great to be back to just my sore knees...
