Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Slept well last night - those Night Nurse capsules must have worked. Or else I’m getting better…

But that thought soon evaporated when I had several extended, exhausting coughing fits. My cough is now a BARK.

I was due at the hospital at the respiratory clinic at 9am. I remember months ago, a doctor looking a bit blank as to what to do next, then suddenly thought this might be a good idea, since I get tend to get breathless when doing not much. It was pointless going when I’m like this as it’s possibly on a treadmill, but it was such short notice cancellation I really felt bad. I rang them and left a message at 8am and 8.30am. I eventually got an actual person in the afternoon, and I was able to apologise profusely. I’ve got a new appointment (several months hence).

JR popped out to the dentist, and came home via the cafe, bearing pastries. But meanwhile, this being Pancake Tuesday - I made pancakes! Well, more like crêpes. Edible.

My sweet little yellow dumbbells (are we allowed to call them that?) were on the floor, and Archie keeps looking at them longingly - Are they new toys? I tried to get him to hold one, but too heavy. But he obliged with the daff!
