Oh Well!

SWMBO has not been a well bunny today.
She hasn't been out of bed.
So I was left to look after Squirrel while the Cygnet was at playgroup with his Mum (she was on the help rota today). She wasn't any trouble (apart from being a bit over active in the nappy dept.) and while she was happy a nap I was able to finish making invitations for a celebratory party for No1 son, daughter-in-law and the people who were not able to make it to Cyprus for the wedding.

Later Bags went off to visit a friend and her new baby and I had both kids to entertain.
That was fun!
The Cygnet wanted stories from some of his new books ....... easy.
What wasn't so easy was hanging on to the other one whose attention span ins't so good and who was insisting on grabbing everything - within reach or not.
But there were no tears, no fights, lots and laughs and giggles and I even taught Squirrel how to blow a whistle........ She is a smart cookie. She knows how to suck on a straw, blow a whistle, how to blow her nose (although you have to hold the tissue) and not yet a year old.

Because SWMBO was not feeling well the slow cooked beef will have to wait until tomorrow - and tonight it is a fish supper, which I am pleased to say tasted better than it looked.
