Hard Knocks...on the Docks

The pelican could hardly wait...in his attempt to steal the bait.

But. he got the mullett...caught in his gullet.

As he was trying to dine...he snagged the line.

He started to yelp...so he got some help.

Two young men were fishing on the dock, and the pelican couldn't resist. He went after the fish head that the boys were using for bait. But, in doing so, he hooked the hook in his pouch.

Two restaurant patrons to the rescue. The man and woman carefully pulled the bird out of the drink, and gently extracted the hook. He/she did look a little sheepish as he/she flew off.

A posing blue heron is in my extras. We did go garage-saling this morning. We didn't buy much, but I did get a bag full of things to paint on for a dollar. WOO-HOO!
