Grandson Merrick's 8th grade team started the season tonight. Here he is after snagging a rebound and heading up court.

Not that I am a basketball expert, but I watched the opposing team during warm-ups and concluded that they weren't very good. I was right.

At halftime the score was 30-8, and it got worse from there. Merrick had 4 points, 4-5 rebounds, and 4-5 assists.

I thought our coach should have backed off the defensive pressure starting the second half, but he didn't. I felt sorry for the other team.

The lighting is so bad in our gym that I was up over 25,000 in ISO, but still could only snap at mostly 1/320. Awful.
