Simone... and sleep

We were awake at 5 a.m., as Richard needed to set off early for the ferry from Birkenhead to Belfast. I went back to sleep for an hour or so, thankfully.
Later I went round to Jack's for lunch, and looked after Simone for the afternoon while J worked upstairs. She was cheery and playful - so much so that I didn't manage to settle her for the early afternoon nap that she really needed. Eventually I put her into the baby sling, with Jack's help, and she dropped off while I clocked up plenty of steps, walking around the house with her snuggled up to my chest.
Back home later, I was in bed by 8 p.m. :>)
