...well not quite, but I noticed my DIY hifi shelf was sagging a touch. The amplifier is a bit weighty so am not surprised really.

My parents had some furniture units when I was young, a range called Tapley 33, and they did some deep L shaped shelves that looked nice & minimal.

So this shelf is a slightly chunkier lookalike made from inch thick MDF and it's about to gain some tie bars on each side...aka galvanised joist struts B&Q...because as you can see it needs some! The solution is cheap & should look okay without needing painting.

The distraction helps, Dad had a setback during the night & needed to go back into theatre. He's now being kept an eye on in an ICU. Will hopefully be fine but is in for a longer recovery for sure. Biscuit took me to the hospital & back tonight and the warning light gremlin stayed under it's rock so that's good at least.
