Tonight's visit to Dad found him out of the ICU and making progress thankfully. Apparently the part the surgeon has popped in between his discs was slightly too big. This caused swelling which affected the nerves. They went back in and replaced the 'whatever it is' with a thinner 'whatever it is' (my mechanical brain suggests it's a Shim but am not a Surgeon so...). They reckon as the swelling subsides he should get progressively better. We certainly hope so.

Extra is your Gal snapping a selfie in the lift like all the cool kids do. Main is a beautiful bicycle in the parking area next to Biscuit. Bicycle was a Pendleton. I'd like to think she was called Vicky and that she & Biscuit had a good natter whilst I was visiting Dad :-)
