A busy day

This morning began with running my Dad to Salford General to have another Op on his back to repair some wear & tear. He had a lower disc fettled last year, amazingly as a day patient (how on earth?!), returning a day later to have it redone properly and have several days staycation in what was quite a rowdy ward.

Today's was more complicated and thus he will be in for a couple of nights at least, which I hope will make for a better recovery. Mum assures me she is missing him lots whilst at the same time enjoying unhindered episodes of Coronation Street ;-)

After dropping youngest off at her volunteering job and having a cuppa with Mum, I jumped aboard Biscuit & bimbled around the South of Manchester on a gusty M60 to meet a work colleague in Urmston. He has also had a recent Op and is on several months of sick leave to recuperate. He hobbled into his local Costa and we had a catch up over some decaff Lattes!

On the ride home the engine management light popped on so I plugged in the OBD reader to find out that the Oil Temperature Sensor was the culprit. This also occurred last summer visiting Ms.Arell and is allegedly 'a bit of a glitch' with these engines. She was running fine so am not concerned, but should it become a regular habit it'll be a visit to the Royal Enfield Dealer for Biscuit.

Dad is apparently on the better side & I look forward to catching up with him tomorrow:-)
