Roosting?

Another grey day, drizzly but with less wind. Decided on a mud-free town walk this morning & opted for Diss. Not a lot to excite the camera but the bird life seemed to be the most noticeable feature. I've Blipped some of the gulls & pigeons alongside the Mere before and also a recent sculpture. The sculpture (on the right of today's image) can be interpreted as a flock of birds taking off, but in the current greyness the local gulls & pigeons were much more lethargic, congregating and lazing on the roofs of the buildings along the main street.

There was also a cormorant drying its wings on the far side of the Mere, too far really for the lens I'd taken with me, but I've cropped the image & added it as an extra as we haven't seen one there before.
