Blue Sky

Took part in a photo walk down on the coast at Bawdsey this morning, starting from 9 am, when the light was already too bright. Did more looking than taking, but there was a mixture of possibilities, from reed-fringed ponds to wartime observation towers to the shoreline itself - and the flock of lapwings, of course!

I'd persuaded P to go down with me to take S for a walk on Sutton Heath while I was involved in the group walk so that we could make better use of the trip by looking in on Sutton Hoo for lunch and a second short walk. We've been to Sutton Hoo many times; this time we used the new path they'd established through the woods and meadows and which gives an excellent view across the River Deben to Woodbridge and its houseboats moored on the far bank (extra).
