Cornets Are Go ......

Went to Oxenhope today to see the steam trains and the vintage carriages on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.
When we arrived we heard a lovely sound coming from the Exhibition Shed. On investigation we found the renowned Wilsden Band playing some super music.
The idea was for them to play on the platform for the passengers' enjoyment but unfortunately the rain upset their plans and they had to play indoors :-(
Nothing plucks the heartstrings of a Yorkshireman more than a Brass Band - so today's blip has to be the band.
If you look very closely at this blip (viewed large), you will find a fellow Blipper by the name of 'airedaleknitter' seated far left - and just out of camera (in fact outside the shed) was another Blipper known as 'Corinthian Column' discretely holding a large collection bucket in aid of band funds :-)
A great afternoon - it was the first time I have ever met anyone with the same 'Blip Affliction' as myself. Amazingly they were very nice, friendly and (outwardly) sane people :-)
Me, Mrs MD & Polly dog really enjoyed the experience - and look forward to repeating it in the not too distant future :-)
