Celtic Connections day 2
We’d arranged to meet our friends Stuart and Linda around 10ish to grab some breakfast before heading to Kelvingrove museum. We found a lovely cafe near the city centre and the coffee and roll and sausage hit the spot nicely. A bracing 30 minute walk took us to Kelvingrove where we passed a very pleasant couple of hours browsing the galleries and listening to some of the organ recital. Very talented organist.
Managed to get a table at Mother India for a light lunch and the makahani daal and paratha were very tasty.
Walked back towards the hotel stopping off in the Finnieston bar for a glass of wine. Got back to the hotel in time to change my jeans for a dress and we were off again. Headed back to the Drygate brewery for an early dinner before heading upstairs to see Zervas and Pepper, a Welsh couple who sing the songs of Joni Mitchell. A great set. An hour or so in the bar and it was back into the venue for Late night sessions. That kicked off at 11 and we were treated to 5 acts performing short sets to showcase themselves. Rather a late finish at 2am but a great evening.
Backblipped Saturday for Friday
