City walk

It froze over rain last night. Surprisingly the gritter came along our road - waking me up at 5am - but it was good as we had to leave early to go to town for a walk with Marion and Ken. We walked almost 5 miles from their house to Exhibition Park then over the City By-Pass to Exhibition Park and back for a delicious lunch.

We had a good catch up though it was not all good news. Marion’s ex is on end of life care in a nursing home. Their elder daughter is staying as she can work from
home and visit him. We’d not seen her for years so enjoyed catching up at lunch. (I used to look her and her sister after first school when their mum was doing her PhD as they were the same age as my younger two).

Last night we started watching “Fool me Once” on Netflix. It started well but is getting silly. On top of that it seems women need lip and cheek work to act on Netflix. It’s not only the main actress but also two others. This lip work means the star’s expression rarely changes. It’s very disconcerting once you notice it.
