A good night’s sleep for me as thought I woke at 3am I fell asleep again listening to a podcast about Muriel Spark, one of my favourite writers.

We spent time looking online for dining room chairs as the basket weave seats have huge holes and can’t be used. Unfortunately we can’t find anyone to fix them or anywhere we could buy just the seats. Hoped to get cheap from IKEA but the reviews weren’t good so I think we’ll go with John Lewis.

This afternoon Suzy held the veggie U3A group so that we could plan our programme for this year. I’m doing Italian next month and UK regional food in November. They agreed with my suggestion that we meet at 1 instead of 2.

I’m making an Ottolenghi Cauliflower mustard dish tonight but after we have got in some shopping I’ll start experimenting with recipes from “One Pot, Pan, Planet” by Anna Jones my new cook book. It looks tasty.
