Young people

We got the train into London and met Joanne for breakfast at a place near London Bridge - excellent. She then took us on a mini tour of a bit of London we hardly ever go to. Lovely to be wandering in the sunshine, but very cold.

Back to Sevenoaks where it was soon time to help out with a bit of chauffeuring of girls - from school and activities, to and from a violin lesson, from the train station. Eventually we arrived at Pizza Express but sadly Ella and her Mum didn’t make it as Ella was not feeling well and had not been at school.

It was actually quite nice spending time with these two young people as they talked about their studies - one brilliant at writing and loves literature, the other really into maths and science - their plans, their hopes and thoughts for the future. A joy to be with.

We returned them home and gave Ella and her Mum a voucher so they can go for pizzas sometime on their own.
