What’s an LP?

Said Ella. A lot of explaining to do then.

Clair’s birthday was yesterday and this year, for the first time in a long, long time, we were there today to give her our present. She was saying at Christmas that she would love a record player so she could play her own music. We said we would buy her one if she would have all our old LPs that have been stored away for years.

They got it working and she is delighted with it. The girls are less impressed! They hadn’t a clue what an LP was or how a record player worked. Clair was even more delighted when she found in the box of LPs some of her own from way back - so we had Gloria Estefan and others.



We are staying in Sevenoaks using a room booked months ago and not used. We couldn’t cancel at the time, but could move the date, which we have done several times, until we decided we had better use it. We know we are taking a chance on the weather but so far so good - a very smooth drive down here. We have had tea with the family and tomorrow we are going into London on the train and seeing them again later.
