The Waves

Clear blue sky and a fresh north-east wind today in East Devon. We had time this afternoon for a short walk at Sidmouth. The red cliffs on either side of the town are constantly crumbling and give the sea near any landslips a red/brown colour. This was the beach to the west of the town. I was fascinated by the unusual wave patterns and the effect they have on the pebble and shingle beaches. The extra shows both the wave and shingle patterns.
