Lying in state!

Not quite her final journey but this afternoon the undertaker came to pick up F.M.i.L. Betty from our house to take her to the church, St Peter's RC Church, Gloucester. If anyone is religious enough to want to view the coffin reception into the church it can be viewed, for one week, at this link

It was very solemn, but also amusing when the priest was recounting his memories of Betty.
Tomorrow is the funeral mass, which can be live streamed at 12:00 on Church Services TV (Just type Gloucester in the search box at the top).
This will be followed by a burial, which I have not attended for many, many, years.
I will be reading the first lesson tomorrow, Julia (who will be wearing her RAF uniform) will read the second lesson.
I think I'll be ok, the fact that she was so happy, and ready, to go to God makes it not so sad for me.
