View from a towel

I decided to beach it today and it turned out to be a really nice day. Still a little chilly for me to swim but it's getting better. At one point I decided to try and catch some ZZzzz's and I laid the towel on the sand and faced the ocean. I had my camera within arms length and I thought how interesting teh view was from the ground.
I started taked a few shots of the surfers but in the end I liked includeding the towel I was ususing in the foreground. I actually managed to doze off on the beach for about an hour. I never do that! The breezes were blowing so nicely from the south and I was all snuggled into my towel by carefully making a pillow from the sand and a little dip in the sand for 'the girls' and then had just enought sun/shade combination to be very comfortable listening to sounds of the ocean.

In order to celebrate this first day of summer I stayed on the beach until 8pm. It was such a beautiful sunset driving home.
